Pan-democratic primaries

On Tuesday' Backchat we'll be talking about the pan-democratic primaries at the weekend.

Many were surprised by the high turnout of voters after the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland
Affairs said the exercise might be illegal, and a breach of the National Security Law.

Professor Benny Tai, the primaries organiser, said the camp could win 45 out of 70 seats in September's Legco elections, claiming he is seeing a trend of many pro-establishment supporters
turning "yellow" after the new security law was enacted.

Do you agree? Is the split between localists and traditional democrats getting wider? Who will actually
be chosen, and what are their chances of actually standing?

Au Nok-hin, former lawmaker. Mr Au also coordinated the primaries
Benson Wong, political analyst

Ventus Lau, pro-democracy activist and also a candidate in the primaries.
Audrey Eu, former Civic Party lawmaker
