In his last budget John Tsang forecast a surplus of $11 billion, but it turns out that the Government raised $93 billion more than it spent. Despite this, the sweeteners for the coming year are actually less than last year, and more surpluses are expected in the future. A unit will also be set up to examine the international competitiveness of our tax regime and to address the supposed problem of a narrow tax base. What do you like or dislike in the budget.
