(2)I have no idea / no ideas，兩者分別在那裏？ 答：I have no idea. 即你沒有答案 e.g. You: When will the swine flu stop affecting us ? Friend: I have no idea! (天曉得！) I have no ideas. 欠缺主意、靈感 e.g. You: What will you buy for your sister’s birthday ? Friend: I have no ideas! (3)以下的生字可以加 – s成為眾數嗎？ 答：Fruit, wine, bread及information都是不可數(uncountable nouns)，若表達「多種類」需要配上kinds/types等： e.g. Fruit is very important. We should eat different kinds of fruit. 還有“many money”都是常犯的錯誤”money”是 uncountable noun e.g. Richard has lots of money. (4)如何可改善串字？ 答：1.把相同發／音字母組合，學習它們的串字： e.g. diary, diabetes, diagram 2.學習IPA(國際音標)，多了解母音(vowels)及子音(consonants)的發音。 e.g. success (e) succeed (i:) 3.學習字根／英文字常見的組合 e.g. though 及although共用的though便可解釋是錯的串字 (5)有聽眾問及以下生活情境，如何反應： 答：1.在快餐店，你未能吃完薯條： You: I can’t finish my fries. (例：“field”被發成 “few”會製造錯誤的訊息。) 5.學習IPA重要嗎？ 答：重要。能運用音標符號，你不但能掌握發音，還可改善串字。 6. someone及somebody有何分別？ 答：兩者可互換，即大致上相同，而someone尤指「某君」，例： Peter : Will you go out with me ? Rita：Sorry, I’m seeing someone. (即Rita另有心上人) 7. someone 及some one有何分別？ 答：“ some one”是錯的！ 8.no one, nobody及none有何分別？ no one 及nobody可互換，即意思用法相同，加上verb都是第三身單數： e.g.No one / Nobody is a billionaire here.
